How to speak Outlander Lesson 4: Laoghaire and Geillis

In Lesson 4, Àdhamh is kind enough to introduce us to Nell and Lotte for lessons in how to pronounce some challenging character names. Hmm is that challenging as in ‘hard to pronounce’ or challenging as in ‘We love to hate them.’ I’ll let you decide. Either way proper pronunciation would be very helpful.

P.S. I see still more people I recognize from the LA event!

An_Comhghallach has his own bit part in the newest Outlander Cartoon!

As we all know, Herself has been onset this past week to film a cameo part in Outlander.  I thought I would share the truly awesome cartoon done by “Outlander Cartoons” (@vivigodinho_) in which our own @an_comhghallach has a bit part!  I am in awe of the talent required to create these cartoons!

Stay tuned for an upcoming wrap-up post for all new Gaelic words and phrases overheard on Twitter this week (including useful phrases for rugby matches and another cartoon to match).

How to Speak Outlander Lesson 3: “Mo Nighean Donn”

So for lesson 3 we get audience AND MacKenzie participation. I recognize lots of faces from the line at the January 11 Outlander Starz event. I don’t see me though. A couple of fans seem to have already been practicing but that won’t stop ALL of us from “saying it with you”, Sam! Glad to see Graham and Gary seem to approve, but that just might be the cookies talking.
